It is some years since Rectory Park in Northolt became the official new home to Middlesex Football Association.

In fact, the official opening of the new football centre on 12^th September 2019 marked the finish of the £5m project.

The Regeneration

The transformation of the site from a playing field to a modern football centre, with two full size artificial pitches and associated facilities, social and educational space, meeting rooms and superb office facilities, was all part of a bigger overall £100 million regeneration project in Northolt.

Security Solution In order to protect the smart new building after hours, the contractors enlisted Charter Global to install a total of 22 Integr8 security roller shutters at the Club, protecting all the windows and doors, and powder coated in RAL 7010 to match the modern architecture of the building. All the shutters were linked to a central control panel to make automatic opening and closing easier.

The Integr8 roller shutter system incorporates integrated lintels – the built-in roller shutters sit within the load bearing lintel of an opening, hence removing the need for an unsightly head box and causing minimal disruption to the build or the attractiveness of the architectural design of a property.

Maintenance & Longevity

Wisely, the Football Club also signed up to a contract for regular maintenance and servicing of the shutters as part of the Total Care package from Charter Global.

Any motors and mechanical parts need regular servicing to maintain them and the frequent maintenance of security shutters means reduced risk of issues building up or not being identified, hence reducing downtime.

It also helps to monitor wear and tear in a specific site situation to anticipate any issues.

Today

It’s always pleasing to revisit projects that were completed some years ago to see if anything has changed, and when one of our team was passing that way early one cold, crisp morning he was pleased to report that everything was still looking as good as on day one, and in full working order thanks to the regular servicing and maintenance.
